Hazrat Moulana Jaami (rahmatullahi alay) has written in:
`Shawahidun-Nabuwa` that the Holy Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) only had to lift his fingers and point to the moon from inside his cradle and it used to move about where he wished it to go.
The Holy Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) has also said,
"As a child, I used to talk to the moon and it would tell me not to cry. I could also hear the moon when it used to prostrate under the Heavens".
The moon was very lucky for it had the privilege to split into two pieces at the order of the Holy Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam).
What can we say about the moons luck except that on many occasions it has been lucky enough to see the Holy Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam).
Even today, the moon kisses the sacred gardens of Madina and gets joyful to see its beautiful scenery. It is so lucky to kiss the beautiful Green Dome and to have the chance to collect the Holy Light (Noor) from Madina.
We are also lucky because the Moon showers us with this light in our country. I wish to keep looking at the moon that drowns itself in deep love for Madina. I always think about the moon, which was so lucky enough to kiss the sacred Imaama and blessed hair of our sweet Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam).
It is the moon that looks at the sacred Kaa`ba and also looks at the Green Dome and the beautiful tall Minarets of Masjid-an-Nabawi and at the same time, showers of Madani Light (Noor) fall upon us and I feel like kissing the moon.
Imam Ahmed Raza Khan (RA) speaks out and says how UNFORTUNATE the moon was on the night of Mir'aaj,
Oh Moon how Foolish you were,
when the Beloved (SAW) was passing you,
if only you were out that night (27th).
The blessed dust of my Beloveds feet was passing your way,
If you had rubbed it on your face,
then everyone wont have been able to see the dark mark on you.
Imam Busiri once wrote about the Prophet(pbuh)
"Exquisite as a lily
Illustrious as a full moon
Magnanimous as the ocean
Persistent as time"
and also wrote:
"He is like the sun,
small to the eye when seen from afar,
but when glimpsed close up,
it dazzles and overwhelms"
Ya Habibi, Ya Rasool Anta Nurun Ala Nur!
