A poor man who is content, is a rich man in reality.
And a rich man who is discontent, is a poor person in reality.
If you don't have "want", then you're rich.
Because the definition of a rich person is "that without need".
So if you don't have "need" you're wealthy.
"Real wealth is the wealth of the soul"
-Prophet Muhammad(pbuh)

key word is the 'poor man who is "CONTENT"... one has to gain something in order to detach from it...
just because one is 'poor' does not imply that he is wealthy in the spiritual sense... mind you there are hadith about Rasul(upon him be peace) being with the 'poor' in the akhira...
ie. chase and conquer the dunya... and then let go of it...
or on a more profound level...
open a bag of chips and eat only one chip... (mark messier from Lays potato chips)
