Meryl Streep On MMA Not Being The REAL Arts ... By Jafar Alam ...
Big ups to Meryl Streep, for an almost perfect speech ... I stopped listening after she said "Mixed Martial Arts are not the real arts" ... Ummm, say whaaa ???? ...
How exactly do you think that Martial Artists do what they do so well ??? ... Mixed Martial "Artists" are among the most connected to humanity ... They hear and see with a sharp vision and heart, so that they can truthfully honour their stories and reflect them back to an audience ... They do this so that anyone can come "enjoy the show" and surprise them with revelations, thoughts and feelings about their own personal journey in this world ... They are among the most qualified to speak their minds and express their truths ... They "entertain" and do a social service simultaneously ... Whether people like Meryl, admit it or not ...
Some of the greatest Martial Artists were actors ... Some of the greatest actors, were Martial Artists ...
Mixed Martial Arts, is one of the most honest forms of expression ... A beautiful metaphor for Life ... It is one of the most empowering and enlightening journeys one could ever embark on ... It humbles you ... It dissolves your ego ... It teaches patience, efficiency and adaptability ... It is an awareness that you cultivate ... It allows you to go from the scope of theory, into the realm of application ... There is no room for lies on the mat, because the truth becomes manifest very quickly ...
It takes years of dicipline, dedication sacrifice and great feats of will, to develope technique and proficiency in the Martial "Arts" ...
The Martial "Arts" gives you a greater, richer, and more profound insight into life then just the combat aspect of self defense ...
We Martial Artists, are students of life ... We are warriors ... Humble in victory and humble in defeat ... We show up everyday and honour the path ... And we are greatful ...
And if yaa don't knowwww, now you know !!!
OSSS !!!
